Position Summary
The Quality Engineer will review and interpret industry and customer specifications, in terms of customer quality and processing requirements. This role will ensure that standards are effectively integrated into our quality control system, as part of our value-added service to our customers. This role will plan, develop, implement, and direct actions concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards and systems for processes, materials, and products. This role will also be responsible for conducting failure investigations, determining, and reviewing root causes of failures in order to initiate and orchestrate corrective actions. Familiarity with plating/coating industry a plus, but not mandatory.
Job Description
- Ability to identify root cause of nonconforming product or processes
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products and processes
- Ability to use mechanical measurement devices to ensure product accuracy
- Review industry and customer specifications to ensure compliance standards
- Perform analysis of inaccuracies to develop systematic changes to compliance standards
- Serve as point of contact for quality resolution issues
- Develop sampling procedures and develop forms and instructions to record, evaluate, and report quality control data
- Direct and provide support and oversight to others involved in calibration, lot acceptance, and periodic testing
- Develop and maintain QMS documentation
- Develop and initiate continuous process improvement per all ISO safety procedures and protocols
- Generate Quality Assurance reports, as necessary
